Texas will face Oregon in the Valero Alamo Bowl, the school announced Sunday night
The Alamo Bowl selected the Longhorns (8-4) and No. 10 Ducks (10-2) to match-up in San Antonio. This will be Oregon's first apperance in the game, and the first time the two schools have played since the 2000 Holiday Bowl, a 35-10 Duck victory.
This is the second straight year Texas appears at the Alamodome for the Alamo Bowl. Last season, the Longhorns defeated Oregon State in a last-minute thriller, 31-28.
The Valero Alamo Bowl is a non-BCS bowl game that matches two teams from the Big 12 and Pac-12. Kickoff is set for 5:45 p.m. in San Antonio on Dec. 30.
