At halftime of the Big 12 Championships Baylor leads Texas, 40-35.

The Longhorns missed plays in the beginning, giving Baylor a six-point lead to start the game. But No. 6 Texas quickly closed the gap, briefly tying the game with No. 1 Baylor – only to have the Bears pull away with a higher 12-point lead.

With two minutes left, the Longhorns trailed behind by only four, after junior center Imani McGee-Stafford shot from the line. Stafford leads the Longhorns after scoring seven points in the first.

Texas was outrebounded by Baylor, 13-16, but the Longhorns have yet to lead against Baylor.
