Time: 11:30 p.m.
Liven up your boring Monday routine with a late-night trip to Spider House’s open mic night. Hosted every week by local comedian Trace Holt, Midnight Comedy’s sign up starts at 11:30 p.m., and, when the clock strikes midnight, the first comic storms the stage.

77 Cents: An unapologetically feminist comedy show and coloring book party
Where: Cheer Up Charlies, 900 Red River St.
Time: 8 p.m.
Feminist humor and coloring books come together during Cheer Up Charlies’ free show, 77 Cents. While listening to one of five female comedians — either Lisa Friedrich, Katie Pengra, Roxy Castillo, Vanessa Marie Gonzalez or Maggie Criss — take a seat at the bar and grab a couple crayons to start filling in a complimentary coloring book brimming with blank images of different female comedians.

Wednesday, June 24
What: Blues on the Green, Shakey Graves performs
Where: Zilker Park, 2100 Barton Springs Rd.
Time: 8 p.m.
Local folk artist Shakey Graves takes the stage during this beloved summertime concert series, held in the same park that hosts Austin City Limits. The opening band, husband and wife hip-hop duo Riders Against the Storm, will take the stage at 8 p.m. followed by Graves. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to the family friendly event.

Thursday, June 25
What: “Crazy Carl and His Man Boobs” screening
Where: Jo’s Coffee, 1300 S. Congress Ave.
Time: 8 p.m.
Learn the story of Crazy Carl Hickerson, the iconic Austin weirdo that has unsuccessfully run for city office 10 times and now sits in front of Esther’s Follies most days flashing his “man boobs” to innocent pedestrians. His antics inspired the documentary “Crazy Carl and His Man Boobs,” which chronicles Crazy Carl’s life as well as the history of Austin’s counterculture movement. The documentary will screen in the Jo’s Coffee parking lot Thursday night following a performance by local band Shinyribs.

Friday, June 26
What: South Shore District’s Friday Night Film, “Hard Target”
Where: South Shore District, 1333 Shore District Drive
Time: 8:30 p.m.
The 1993 action film “Hard Target” will play at the South Shore District apartment complex Friday night as the penultimate installment of the ’90s-themed movie series. Food trucks, such as Garbo's Lobster Truck ATX, Burro Cheese Kitchen, Uncle Louie G's and Chi’lantro BBQ, will be in attendance to quench any mid-movie cravings. In the case of inclement weather, “Hard Target” will be rescheduled through the event’s Facebook page.

What: Austin Chronicle Cookout
Where: Historic Scoot Inn, 1308 E. Fourth St.
Time: 5 p.m.
The Austin Chronicle is throwing a celebratory cookout to showcase the local independent hip-hop scene with sets from Eric Dingus & DoWrong, SubKulture Patriots, Alesia Lani, Mindz of A Different Kind (MDK) and DJ Charlie. In addition to the full schedule of hip-hop artists, local food truck Hot Mess will be on-site selling barbecue and hamburgers.

What: Black Widow Cinema, “The Craft”
Where: Spider House Ballroom, 2906 Fruth St.
Time: 8 p.m.
Spider House and local video store, I Luv Video, are hosting a movie series dedicated to “killer ladies” such as the teenage witches starring in this week’s film, “The Craft.” Continuing with the mystical theme, a “light as a feather stiff as a board” contest and live spells will take place throughout the night. As always, free pizza and drink specials will be available for everyone.
