Texas Tribune Festival: Increasing diversity in higher education is a priority going forward

Increasing student diversity on college continues to be a growing concern for Texans. Last year, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board presented 60X30TX, a plan that would increase the number of people between 25-34 with college degrees to 60 percent by 2030. The plan suggests targeting minority groups as those population continue to grow. Lauren McGaughy, Austin Bureau Reporter for The Dallas Morning News, moderates a discussion on diversity in higher education Saturday among several college presidents as wel as the chancellor of the Texas State University system.
