Crowds gathered on Thursday for the 2025 Central Texas Juneteenth Parade and Festival, an all-day celebration held at Rosewood Park in Austin. The annual event honors Juneteenth, which commemorates the abolition of slavery in the United States and marks the anniversary of the June 19, 1865 announcement of freedom in Galveston Bay, Texas.
