As a new semester begins, many UT students say the pandemic has taken a toll on their mental health. At UT’s Counseling and Mental Health Center, the number of attended counseling sessions increased by about 38% from last summer to this summer.
UT-Austin professors are not allowed to tell other students in their class if a student tests positive for the coronavirus because of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, according to a COVID-19 exposure guide.
