The UT Police Department launched the University Critical Incident Response Team on Jan. 11 with the hope of using alternate methods to de-escalate mental health crises.
Of the 13 defendants, eight are former or current UT-Austin students, including business, chemistry, mathematics and psychology majors. At the press conference, investigators said sales were over $1 million.
