Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson was named president of UT-El Paso last Tuesday by the UT System Board of Regents, despite protests from activists, students and community members who raised concerns over Wilson’s anti-LGBTQ voting record.
The study compared parental household income to an individual’s earnings five years post-graduation. The study showed college graduates are more likely to make more money than their parents within five years.
The Board of Regents is the System’s governing body, comprised of nine members from across the state. These members are appointed by the governor for six-year terms with one student regent serving a one-year term.
