As Halloween creeps closer, there are ways to celebrate the spooky season year-round, such as going out on Friday the 13th and getting a spooky tattoo at a student-friendly cost. An unlucky superstition, Friday the 13th only occurs a few times a year, and rarely does it occur during the Halloween season. In order to celebrate the unique event, The Daily Texan has compiled a list of tattoo shops with the best Friday the 13th deals. 

The Austin Tattoo Co. – 5241 N Lamar Blvd.

The Austin Tattoo Co. will host a 24-hour marathon for Friday the 13th tattoos. Starting midnight on the 13th, customers pay only $13 plus a $7 tip and can choose from 180 designs. Designs are for arms and legs only and are limited to black and grey or black and red. Alongside tattoos, the store will offer a $20 piercing special. While waiting in line, customers can enjoy drinks, games, food trucks and a VIP lounge for those 21 and up.

All Saints Tattoo – 514 E 6th St.

From 10 a.m.-12 a.m. on Friday, All Saints Tattoo will offer 600 unique designs. Every tattoo features a “13” in it, although some designs make it less visible than others. A maximum of three tattoos are allowed in a sitting, and each outline-only tattoo costs $31 plus a $9 tip. This store’s sale will be cash only and is limited to only arms and legs. 

No Good Tattoo – 1023 Springdale Rd. 

This women-owned tattoo shop will open at 10 a.m. on the 13th for customers to get a spooky tattoo from one of five artists in the studio. Tattoos range from $100-$200 and vary in style based on the artist. All designs will be 1-3 inches and can be handpoked based on the design and artist chosen. The store’s Instagram, @nogoodtattoo, provides a list of design options available to choose from until the store closes at 7 p.m. 

512 Tattoo – 13223 Pond Springs Rd.

Located in northeast Austin, 512 Tattoo offers $40 tattoos this Friday from 12-8 p.m. Similar to the previous shops, this store’s sale applies to arm and leg tattoos only. To see the list of design options for the 13th, check out their Instagram @512tattoo.

Flying Tiger Tattoo – 2008 W. Parmer Ln.

Alongside a Halloween flash sale, Flying Tiger Tattoo will offer a Friday the 13th sale this year. Customers can get an original design in one of the many styles offered by the studio for only $50.
