The Associated Press has called Texas Congressional District 17 for Republican challenger Bill Flores.
Flores defeated 10-term Rep. Chet Edwards (D-Waco).
MSNBC reports that with 32 percent of the vote reported, Flores has won 61 percent or 61,572 votes.
