Six former Longhorns signed free-agent deals with NFL teams this weekend. Offensive lineman Kyle Hix was signed by the New England Patriots, tight end Greg Smith was picked up by the Carolina Panthers, wide receiver John Chiles signed with the New Orleans Saints, punter John Gold and offensive lineman Michael Huey both signed deals with the Seattle Seahawks and wide receiver James Kirkendoll is now a member of the Tennessee Titans.
