The lineup changed for the Longhorns this weekend but they continued their stronghold over Big 12.

Texas (13-9, 6-1 Big 12) made the trip to Kansas on Friday to take on the University of Kansas (8-9, 0-6). Both teams began with a doubles win, with Addison/Scott winning at No. 1 doubles.

Begley/Ellis trailed 7-5 but they rallied to win in a tiebreaker 9-8 to clinch the doubles point.

With that point in hand, Texas went on to win five of six singles matches. Addison made her first appearance at No. 1 singles and won (6-4, 7-5) against Maria Belen Luduena.

Lina Padegimaite was out of the lineup but sophomore Annat Rabinovich held her own at No. 6 singles to aid Texas’ 6-1 win.

On Saturday, Texas met Kansas State (7-10, 1-6) and swept the doubles, with Addison/Scott notching a top 30 win.

Again the Longhorns won five of the six singles matches to close out the Wildcats, 6-1. Addison added to her win streak, getting to 12 with a win over No. 12 Petra Niedermayerova.

Texas closes out the Big 12 regular season on the road against Baylor on Friday followed by TCU on Sunday.
