I just read Monday’s Daily Texan and on the front page there was an article titled “UT lieutenant serves selflessly.” Lt. Gonzales makes $80,000 a year working in what has to be one of lowest-risk law enforcement jobs that can be had. How is this “sacrifice,” especially in these hard economic times?
