With the first two meets of the season behind it, the UT women’s cross country team moves forward to the Texas Invitational on Friday, with the women’s 5K beginning at 6:15 p.m.
This is the first time UT will host the event, located at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
The upcoming meet follows the Longhorns’ sweep at the UTSA Ricardo Romo Classic in San Antonio last weekend, where senior Megan Siebert took first place for the women.
The team dominated, with six runners finishing the 5K in the top 10 to give Texas a first place finish. The win is an improvement from the team’s third place finish at its first meet, the
Baylor Bear Twilight Invitational.
This will be the Longhorns’ last meet until Oct. 19, when they will travel to the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational in Madison, Wis.
