A bronze bust of William S. Sutton ‘s baldhead and handlebar mustache has been missing from the main floor of Sutton Hall for more than 30 years.
Sutton’s great-granddaughter, Sally Hoffman, has been on a hunt for two years, searching for the University artwork.
Her search led her from office to office on campus. Without a centralized office for University statuaries the Sutton’s family is uncertain they will ever know of the bust location.
Hoffman was ready to offer a reward to help locate the missing likeness of her ancestor. Have you seen the bust of William S. Sutton?
