Texas’ cross country season drew to a close Saturday, with the only women’s qualifying championship runner, senior Marielle Hall, becoming a back-to-back All-American with a 29th place finish in the conclusion of her senior campaign.
Hall entered the last meet of the season with an impressive set of finishes, including individual titles at the Big 12 Championships and the NCAA South Central Regional, where she became a two-time regional champ. Along with plenty of other recognitions, Marielle Hall had a career of firsts. Hall became the first Texas runner to gain a Big 12 individual title this year and the South Central Regional Title in her junior season.
The Longhorns team as a whole had a great season as well, dominating the competition in some instances like the annual UTSA Ricardo Romo Classic, where both the men and women’s teams came away with first place honors and the team victory.
Texas’ indoor track season kicks off Jan. 17 at the Arkansas-Texas Dual in Fayetteville, Ark.
