Texas quarterback David Ash suffered a Jones fracture in his left foot at practice today and will undergo surgery on the foot next week, knocking him out for the remainder of spring practice.
Longhorn head athletic trainer Anthony Pass added that Ash is expected to return to action in time for Texas’ preseason camp.
Ash, who spent much of last year sidelined with concussion symptoms, was granted a medical hardship waiver by the Big 12 and will enter the 2014 season as a junior.
