What: AMVFest Music Video Premiere Series
Where: Spider House, 2908 Fruth St.
Time: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
The Premiere Series brings together music lovers and creators during an evening of music video premieres from Austin-based bands. For the series’ fourth installment, bands such as Mother Falcon, Holiday Mountain and The Migrant Kids will premiere their latest music videos and a special guest will perform a live show on the outdoor patio. The screening and live show are all ages and free with RSVP through austinmusicvideofestival.com.

Tuesday, June 30
What: The Wine Down featuring the Peterson Brothers Band
Where: ACL Live at the Moody Theater, 310 Willie Nelson Blvd.
Time: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The Wine Down, a free bi-weekly summer concert series, offers Austinites an opportunity to escape the blistering evening heat and enjoy live music in the air-conditioned venue where “ACL Live” is filmed. Fifteen minutes after the doors open at 5 p.m., blues group The Peterson Brothers Band will begin and merchandise from neighboring businesses in the 2nd Street District will be raffled off.

Wednesday, July 1
What: Sound & Cinema presents “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”
Where: Long Center for Performing Arts, 701 W. Riverside Drive
Time: 6 p.m. doors, 9 p.m. movie starts
At the bi-weekly summer movie series Sound & Cinema, food trucks will arrive on the Long Center lawn at 6 p.m., and music from experimental band Otis the Destroyer will start at 7:30 p.m. Once the sun sets around 9 p.m., the 1986 classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” will play for an audience of all ages as they lounge on folding chairs and picnic blankets.

Thursday, July 2
What: Concert: Jam Therapy, BLK MORALS, Seven Circles, Grampfather
Where: Spider House, 2908 Fruth St.
Time: 10 p.m.
On Thursday night, Spider House will host four bands for a free concert inside the ballroom. The show kicks off with a set from Panama City-based rock ‘n’ roll band Jam Therapy, followed by a performance from Austin duo BLK MORALS. Seven Circles, an instrumental group, will take the stage next, and finally, Grampfather, a self-proclaimed “semi-heavy chillrock band” will close out the show.

Friday, July 3
What: ’80s Flashdance Party
Where: The Madison, 307 W. Fifth St.
Time: 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Put on your “Flashdance” gear and pretend for one night that it’s 1983 at the ̕80s Flashdance Party at The Madison. Madonna, Michael Jackson and David Bowie will provide the soundtrack and The Madison will provide the drinks: two-for-one from 10 p.m. until midnight. Saturday, July 4
What: July 4th Symphony and Fireworks
Where: Auditorium Shores, 800 W. Riverside Drive
Time: 4 p.m. vendors open, 7:30 p.m. symphony begins, 9:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. firework show
The Austin Symphony will perform Saturday evening preceding the annual Fourth of July Firework show. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or folding chair and arrive early to peruse the arts and crafts, food and drink vendors that open at 4 p.m. and stay for the firework show that starts after dark.

Sunday, July 5
What: Public Art Tour: The Meaning of Color
Where: Peter Reginato’s Kingfish at the CMA Plaza, 2504 Whitis Ave.
Time: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Landmarks, the public art program of UT Austin, will lead a tour of the University’s outdoor sculptures Sunday morning. The tour starts at sculptor Peter Reginato’s sculpture entitled “Kingfish” and will hit all the major sculptures that deal with this week’s theme: The Meaning of Color.
