Mega Mutt Monday featuring Teddy Long

Banger’s will extend their happy hour Monday night for Mega Mutt Monday, a night of live music from Americana artist Teddy Long and pet-friendly vendors including Austin Boxer Rescue, Midtown Groom and Board, Mudpuppies, Fetch, and Austin Dog Rescue.

BYOV.inyl
Where: The Mohawk, 912 Red River St
Time: 5 p.m.
Most Tuesday nights, The Mohawk hosts an event called BYOV.inyl, an evening where attendees are called to BYOV (bring your own vinyl) rather than BYOB (bring your own beer.) Enjoy the bar’s happy hour and jam out to the tunes of your choice.

Sauced Comedy at Kebabalicious
Where: Kebabalicious storefront, 1311 E. Seventh St.
Time: 8 p.m.
Kebabalicious brings five comedians to its storefront every Wednesday for an evening of jokes and kebabs. Between sets, order from the Turkish menu or take advantage of the drink specials.

KGSR Unplugged at the Grove featuring Jimmy LaFave
Where: Shady Grove, 1625 Barton Springs Road
Time: 8 p.m.
Texas-based folk artist Jimmy LaFave is set to perform at Shady Grove for the restaurant’s weekly concert series, Shady Grove Unplugged. Attendees can bring a towel and sit in the grass or grab a table and order discounted drinks while listening to the rock musician’s set. The first 10 Subarus to enter the parking lot will receive a reserved parking spot.

I Scream Social
Where: Malvern Books, 613 W. 29th St.
Time: 7 p.m. – 8 p.m.
On Friday, Malvern Books will host the fourth I Scream Social, a free monthly reading series featuring young women in Austin. After the readings at 8 p.m. there will be an open mic with free ice cream courtesy of Amy’s Ice Cream.

Do 512 App Launch Party featuring White Denim, Christian Bland & The Revelators, GLOVES Collective
Where: Empire Control Room & Garage, 606 E. 7th St.
Time: 7 p.m.
To celebrate the launch of their new app, Do 512 will throw a party Saturday night with free entry if you download the app. Four-piece rock band, White Denim, will perform with psychedelic rock band Christian Bland & The Revelators and Austin-based future funk band, GLOVES collective.

Sunday, Sept. 27
35th Annual Pecan Street Festival
Where: 6th Street
Time: 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Twice a year, 24 blocks of 6th street will shut down for the Pecan Street Festival. Hundreds of food vendors and artisans will crowd the street selling their products alongside street performers, petting zoos, face-painters and magicians. The event begins Saturday Sept. 26 and will continue Sunday.
