Update (4:25): Texas’ streak of high-scoring performances has continued through the first half against No. 24 Oklahoma State.

After the Longhorns went three-and-out on the game’s opening drive, the Cowboys quickly scored on a nine-play, 69-yard drive. Oklahoma State’s touchdown came on a 17-yard touchdown from sophomore quarterback Mason Rudolph.

Texas responded with a 41-yard field goal from senior kicker Nick Rose on the next drive. A 47-yard completion from redshirt freshman quarterback Jerrod Heard to senior wide receiver Marcus Johnson sparked the scoring drive.

Oklahoma State went right down the field on the ensuing possession with a five-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. A 4-yard touchdown from redshirt senior quarterback J.W. Walsh capped the scoring drive.

On the next possession, Heard led the Longhorns 46 yards to set up another Rose field goal — cutting the deficit to 14-6.

Texas caught a break on the next drive when Rudolph fumbled and junior defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway scooped it up for a 34-yard touchdown. The score marked the Longhorns’ second defensive touchdown this season.

After a Cowboys’ field goal, the Longhorns showcased a new jumbo-package with junior quarterback Tyrone Swoopes taking a fourth-and-2 carry seven yards for a touchdown.
