Feel The Bern: Democratic Watch Party

Time: 7 p.m.
The Mohawk invites all Bernie Sanders fans to join them for the Democratic debate at their watch party Tuesday at 7 p.m. The event is limited to individuals over the age of 18.

Local Love feat. Stranger Than Fiction, Did You See Those Bats?, D Madness, Marshall Terry
Where: The Vulcan Gas Company, 418 E 6th St.
Time: 8:30 p.m.
Solstice Live presents the free 21+ show, Local Love, on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. The event will feature Houston-based rock band Stranger Than Fiction, Austin-based psychedelic group Did You See Those Bats?, a funk group from Dallas called D Madness and Austin-based singer songwriter Marshall Terry.

Thursday Night Fright Night, “The Editor”

Lost In A World Of Color CD Release Party

Austin-based psychedelic quintet, Lost In A World Of Color is releasing and performing its debut album “L.I.A.W.O.C.” Friday night at Lucky Lounge. Preceding the quintet’s midnight performance is blues singer Mike Reardon at 8 p.m., acoustic group The Coordinates at 9 p.m. and Austin-based rock bands 365colours and Freerunner at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., respectively. Costumes are highly encouraged.

Rock ‘N’ Roll DJ Set & Record Swap
Where: Spider House, 2908 Fruth St.
Time: 7 p.m.
Needles and Pins Records presents a night of live music from DJs The Ripper, RT and Mike Hooker starting at 7 p.m. on the Spider House patio. Meanwhile, a record swap will take place inside the Spider House chapel. Pets and friends of all ages are welcome to enjoy the festivities.

2015 Texas Book Festival

The annual book festival is a collection of panels, readings, children’s activities and musical events surrounding the most noteworthy books of the year. Authors attending the festival this year include The Handmaid’s Tale author Margaret Atwood, The House on Mango Street author Sandra Cisneros, and A Series of Unfortunate Events author Daniel Handler (Lemony Snicket).
