Celebrate the grand opening of Torchy’s Tacos’ South Congress location with an evening of free tacos, snacks and giveaways. Austin-based bluegrass project The Lost Pines will perform during the family-friendly event. Following the festivities Monday night, the store will open Tuesday at 7 a.m.

- Time: 7:30 p.m.
Every Tuesday night, The Lazy Lizard hosts a 21-and-up open mic for new and seasoned comics in Austin. Sign-ups start at 7:30 p.m., and the show kicks off at 8 p.m., but show up early and order a local brew for $3 — part of the Texas Tuesday drink special.

- Who Wants A Dollar Trivia — Star Wars Edition

- Time: 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
This Wednesday, the weekly game of trivia hosted by the Volstead Lounge will ask only “Star Wars”-related questions. Arrive at 7 p.m. to take advantage of the happy hour drink specials, which end at 9 p.m.

- Let’s Dance: A Farewell to David Bowie

- Bet You Look Good On The Dance Floor: An Arctic Monkeys Tribute featuring The Mardy Bums

- Time: 8 p.m. doors
The Mardy Bums will cover the entire Arctic Monkeys’ debut album “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” Friday night in celebration of its 10-year anniversary. The Mardy Bums take the stage at 11 p.m., following local bands R.C. Cat and Kidlat Punch at 10 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively.

- Modern Outsider Records Five Year Anniversary Spectacular featuring Moving Panoramas, The Calm Blue Sea and Dana Falconberry

Local management company and record label Modern Outsider is celebrating its five-year anniversary Saturday night with performances by local artists, including all-female dream gaze trio Moving Panoramas, post-rock group The Calm Blue Sea and singer-songwriter Dana Falconberry. - Laugh, Dammit

- Time: 9 p.m.
- Laugh, Dammit is a live game show that challenges audience members not to laugh at comedian’s jokes. During the show, an audience member is brought on stage and various comics compete to make him or her laugh. If the audience member cracks, the comic wins, but if the contestant remains straight-faced, he or she wins a prize. Inspired by the classic television game show “Make Me Laugh,” Laugh, Dammit kicks off at 8 p.m. at the Highball.
