Bids to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship will be on the table as Longhorns travel down Route 290 to College Station to compete in the NCAA Zone “D” Diving Meet.
Six women and seven men will advance to Atlanta for the NCAA Championships in the one-meter event, while nine women and seven men will advance in the three-meter, and nine women and eight men will advance on platform.
The Longhorn divers did very well in the Big 12 Championship, with senior Meghan Houston taking women’s Diver of the Meet and junior Mark Anderson taking men’s Diver of the Meet. Head coach Matt Scoggin was selected as both the Men’s and Women’s Diving Coach of the Meet.
At the Big 12 Championship, Anderson won in the three-meter and platform events, while teammate Cory Bowersox took first in the one-meter dive. For the women, Houston took the one-meter and three-meter events, while teammate Kristina Hoffmann won the platform dive.
Texas will look to advance as many divers as possible in College Station this Monday through Wednesday.
