No. 5 Texas men’s golf will look to regain its form this week in San Diego at the Lamkin San Diego Classic after a difficult test in Las Vegas last week.
The tournament will be played at the San Diego Country Club, a Par 72 and 7,033 yards in length. Rounds one and two will be played on Monday with the third and final round concluding on Tuesday.
The 14-team field features three ranked teams, including Texas, No. 14 Arizona State and No. 23 San Diego State. Arizona State tied for fourth with the Longhorns last week in Las Vegas.
The Longhorns struggled to an 18-over par finish a week ago at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters, finishing 13 shots out of first place.
Texas won its first two tournaments of the spring season at the Arizona Intercollegiate in January and the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in February.
After Tuesday the Longhorns have three tournaments left on the schedule before heading to Trinity, Texas, for the Big 12 Championship.
The Texas starting lineup this week consists of junior Beau Hossler, junior Gavin Hall, sophomore Doug Ghim, sophomore Scottie Scheffler and redshirt sophomore Taylor Funk. Freshman Steven Chervony will compete as an individual.
Play begins Monday at 10:30 a.m.
