The Longhorns will look to continue their string of three straight top-five finishes this week at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Texas is coming off of a 5-1 defeat of Hawaii in match play on Saturday. Each of the five match wins for the Longhorns came with two or more holes to play.
The win comes after the Longhorns finished second in the UNF Collegiate in earlier this month. Sophomore Sophia Schubert led the team that week with her third top-ten of the season.
Junior Julia Beck finished in a tie for ninth at 3-over par in this tournament last year as Texas took eight shots off the lead.
The competition in Hawaii, however, will not be quite up to par. The field features just one ranked team, No. 10 Oklahoma State, and defending tournament champion UC-Davis will not be competing. Only three other teams — Texas A&M, Illinois and Nebraska — come from “Power Five” conferences.
The tournament starts with 36 holes on Tuesday and a final 18 holes on Wednesday.
