The Longhorns slipped up a bit in the second round of the Big 12 Championship in San Antonio, finishing the day three-over par and five strokes back of leader Oklahoma State with 18 holes to go.
Texas currently sits in third place with Iowa State one shot ahead.
Sophomore Sophia Schubert finished the round at even par, carding four bogeys and four birdies on the day. She remains at two-under par for the tournament, two shots back of leader Sabina Pena of TCU.
Senior Natalie Karcher, meanwhile, closed out her round strong, birding three of the last four holes to move into a tie for ninth at even par.
Junior Julia Beck also carded an even par score for the round and heads into the final round in a tie for 12th.
Junior Haley Mills, however, struggled with four bogeys and a triple bogey to fall back to a tie for 20th at four-over par. Senior Tezira Abe also struggled, shooting five-over par, dropping her to a tie for 37th.
The Longhorns will start the final round at 8:50 a.m. on Sunday.
