Five-star recruit Megan Walker will take her official visit to Texas this weekend, she confirmed Thursday. The guard is listed as the nation’s top recruit on ESPN’s top-100 ranking.
Walker has narrowed her top schools down to Texas, Notre Dame and Connecticut and is expected to make her decision at the end of September following her official visits, according to ESPN.
The 6-foot-1-inch wing from Monocan High School in Chesterfield, Virginia, averaged 21.4 points and 8.2 rebounds during her junior season. She led the Chiefs to their second-straight state championship in March.
Walker was also a member of USA Basketball’s under-18 team this summer. She scored 12 points and dished out four assists in the team’s 102-69 victory over Canada in the gold medal game.
