The Longhorns needed to run just five minutes off the clock.

Texas (6–4–1 overall, 0–1–1 Big 12) held a 1–0 lead over the Sooners (9–2–1 overall, 2–0–1 Big 12) for the majority of the contest.

The Longhorns got off to a quick start on Sunday afternoon. In the ninth minute, freshman Cyera Hintzen pressured as Oklahoma attempted to clear the ball upfield. Hintzen deflected the ball as Oklahoma attempted to clear it, and it quickly rolled into the net for her second career goal.

Both teams were then held scoreless until the final five minutes. The Longhorns had hoped to run out the clock and take home their first Big 12 victory. But Oklahoma stunned Texas with two goals in the game’s final minutes to take the game, 2-1.

Oklahoma’s Rasha Roberts fired a shot from 25 yards out in the 86th minute. Senior goalkeeper Paige Brown dove to make a stop, but the ball went off the right post and into the net.

The Sooners’ last-second goal sent the Longhorns into their second overtime game of the weekend after a 1–1 draw against Baylor on Friday.

And with the final minutes of overtime quickly dwindling down, Oklahoma struck again. Midfielder Lizzie Luallin found herself open and quickly fired a shot past Brown for the walk-off win with just 30 seconds left in overtime.

The Longhorns continue conference competition when Oklahoma State comes to Austin for a 7 p.m. match on Friday.
