Second half update (2:42 p.m.): Oklahoma State widened its lead with a short rushing score after Buechele threw an interception deep in his own territory. Texas got in on the extra point block party with one of its own, keeping the score at 43-25.
Texas answered the OSU score with a 62-yard rushing touchdown from Foreman. Foreman was tackled late in the endzone on the play and left the game during the Longhorns’ next offensive possession.
Foreman and Warren’s injuries highlighted a relatively uneventful second half compared to the first. The Texas offense couldn’t get its ground game going when after its two leading backs got injured. Foreman and Warren combined to rush for 254 of Texas’ 306 yards on the ground.
Oklahoma State added a pair of fourth quarter field goals to make it a three possession game at 49-31 with 6:44 remaining.

Halftime update (1:13 p.m.): Texas won the coin toss and elected to kick the ball, putting its defense on the field first. It didn’t play out the way head coach Charlie Strong envisioned.
Oklahoma State junior quarterback Mason Rudolph led the Cowboys right down the field on a nine-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. Rudolph orchestrated another touchdown drive four minutes later that ended with a 54-yard pass to junior receiver James Washington.
Texas cut into the Cowboys’ lead with senior quarterback Tyrone Swoopes’ first rushing score of the game and pulled even closer with junior running back D’Onta Foreman’s 22-yard rushing score.
Trailing 14-13 late in the first half, senior kicker Trent Domingue lined up to tie the game. But things went downhill for the Longhorns on special teams. The kick was blocked and returned for a defensive two-point conversion.
The two teams traded scores the rest of the half, but Domingue continued to miss kicks. He had two more extra points blocked and missed wide-left on a 47-yard field.
Both Texas and Oklahoma State ended the half with 390 yards of total offense, but the Cowboys took a 37-25 lead into the locker room after Rudolph tossed a 52-yard touchdown to sophomore receiver Jalen McCleskey with less than a minute remaining in the half.

Original story: The No. 22 Longhorns (2-1) enter enemy territory today for their second straight road game. This week, they visit the unranked Oklahoma State Cowboys (2-2) in Stillwater in an early 11 a.m. matchup. Both teams are hungry coming off loses in their previous outings, so it should be a competitive contest.
