The In-N-Out Burger on the corner of Guadalupe and 27th Streets officially opened its doors Thursday, making it the fifth location in Austin.
“We’re really excited to be here, so it’s really awesome opening our doors,” store manager Kelsey Dresback said.
The restaurant occupies the lot Burger King used before, serving students for years. In-N-Out features a drive-thru and free parking, as well as a capacity of 44 seats inside.
Dresback said she expects a lot of student diners, as this In-N-Out was built to be near campus.
“We wanted to be close to downtown by the campus, and we were looking for a place near this area,” Dresback said.
The restaurant decided against a grand opening in exchange for a calmer first day of business, Dresback said.
The restaurant will follow normal company hours, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10:30 am to 1:30 am on Friday and Saturday.
