Update (10:26 p.m.): The Longhorns have lost in the NCAA National Championship game for the second straight season. Stanford took the fourth set 25–21 to eliminate Texas. The Cardinal opened the set on a 7-0 run, proving to be too much for the Longhorns to overcome.
Update (9:50 p.m.): The Longhorns took the third set 25-18 to stay alive in the match. Nwanebu leads the Longhorns in kills with 15. Stanford still leads the match 2–1, and the Longhorns need to win both of the final sets to win the title.
Update (9:19 p.m.): Stanford has taken the first two sets 25-21 and 25-19. Texas led the second set 17-15, but the Cardinal closed the set on a 10-4 run to take a commanding 2–0 lead over the Longhorns. One more win gives Stanford the championship. Micaya White and Ebony Nwanebu lead Texas with nine kills each.

The Longhorns swept No. 1 Nebraska in the semifinals on Thursday to advance to the title game. Stanford is coming off wins against No. 2 Minnesota and No. 3 Wisconsin.
