Kurt Brown, the father of UT stabbing victim Harrison Brown, died Monday after a two-year battle with ALS, according to his obituary from Morrison Funeral Home.
Kurt Brown worked as a chiropractor and moved to Graham in 1990. According to his obituary, he passed away in his home surrounded by family and avoided the limelight of publicity.
“Kurt was a man who lived by the side of the road and watched the race of man go by,” the obituary read.
The obituary also mentioned the recent passing of his son Harrison, who died in the May 1 stabbing attack on UT’s campus. In lieu of flowers, the obituary asks for donations to be made to the Harrison Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the Brown family’s hometown of Graham, Texas will hold services this week.
