Junior wide receiver Jordan Whittington announced Friday that he will return to the Forty Acres  for another season.

In 13 games, 12 of which he started, Whittington caught 50 passes for a total of 652 yards and one touchdown. He was named as an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection this year. The 2022 season was his first full season without any missed games due to injury.

Whittington is expected to continue his role as a leader for the incoming young receivers. As a member of the Texas team for the past four years, Whittington knows what it’s like to play in big games and what it takes to win.

Whittington announced his return on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts, posting a highlight reel on Instagram. “I’ll be returning in 2023,” he said.
