After placing eighth in the Northrop Grumann Regional, the Longhorns will face off against No. 2 Wake Forest, No. 9 and fellow Big 12 rival Baylor, and several other top 25 teams at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate hosted by No. 4 University of South Carolina from Feb. 27 to March 1.

Texas’ roster includes freshmen Angela Heo and Cindy Hsu, sophomore Bohyun Park, junior Bentley Cotton, and senior Sophie Guo.

Guo finished T-2, 69-69-72, and 3-under par in the Northrop Grumann Regional. Hsu was next to finish T-24, 73-76-70 and 6-over par. Both Guo and Heo earned placements in the international Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings, with Guo ranked No. 22 internationally and Heo at No. 19 in the United States. Texas as a team has managed to finish ranked eighth or higher in each tournament they have participated in this season.

The Longhorns will have fierce competition joining them in South Carolina, one player in particular to keep an eye out for will be senior Rachel Kuehn from Wake Forest University, who had won the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in 2022. Kuehn finished 73-70-77, four-over par and placed sixth in the Nexus Collegiate Tournament earlier this month.

According to the Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings, Kuehn will be the highest ranking player to be attending the Darius Rucker Tournament, coming in at No. 2 in the United States, just below Stanford’s Rose Zhang.

No. 3 senior Jenny Bae from the University of Georgia will also make an appearance on Monday, along with No. 7 senior Megan Schofill of Auburn. Both players have had multiple top-5 finishes during this season.

Texas will begin play at 8:20 a.m. starting round 16 at hole 10, and will be paired with Wake Forest and Auburn.
