Fall means temperatures finally begin dropping, and walking to and from class calls for a well-deserved pick-me-up. The Daily Texan compiled a list of drinks within walking distance from campus to get in the fall mood — even if the weather still reaches 90 degrees.
Foxtrot – 2270 Guadalupe St.
Pumpkin Pie Latte – Hot or iced, this beverage guarantees a taste of autumn. Foxtrot’s take on the pumpkin spice trend features pumpkin pie syrup, whipped cream, crushed graham cracker topping and any choice of milk. Pair it with their Kouign Amann, a traditional French pastry described by Foxtrot as a croissant meeting a muffin.
Lucky Lab Coffee – 2421 San Antonio St., 2317 Speedway, 23 San Jacinto Blvd.
With multiple locations near the UT campus, Lucky Lab is an easily accessible drink stop on the way to class.
Harvest Sweet Cream Latte – As part of their Pumpkin Everything drink menu, Lucky Lab’s seasonal Harvest Sweet Cream Latte features rich and creamy pumpkin spice sweet cream made with real pumpkin and freshly ground spices. A crowd favorite, the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Swirl Muffin also returns to the seasonal menu for a flavorful fall pair.
Thai Limeade – For people who don’t enjoy coffee, Lucky Lab also offers the Thai Limeade on their Fall Favorites menu. A drink made for citrus lovers, this drink combines lime and Thai tea for the perfect balance of tangy and sweet.
Starbucks – 2021 Guadalupe St.
Iced Apple Crisp Oat Milk Shaken Espresso – In the expansion of its fall menu, Starbucks features a new apple-flavored drink. This beverage remains popular among lovers of the Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso. It captures the same notes of cinnamon and brown sugar, but with the added sweetness of apple brown sugar syrup.
Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte – This drink serves pumpkin lovers who don’t want to participate in Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte craze. The contents include black tea infused with cinnamon and other spices, milk, a topping of sweet pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice to top it off.
Kerbey Lane – 2606 Guadalupe St.
Although Kerbey Lane doesn’t offer specific fall drinks, their menu includes fall flavorings to pair with their coffee. Flavors include pumpkin spice, almond, vanilla, gingerbread, hazelnut, caramel and sugar-free vanilla. While sipping on a drink, enjoy a stack of their award-winning pancakes, whether it’s their seasonal pumpkin or a flavor on monthly rotation — like this month’s strawberry lemonade pancakes.
