Austin delivers a stellar live music scene every month, but with some of the most anticipated performances of the year, this February will prove a month to remember. The Daily Texan compiled a list of the hottest shows to watch out for.
From $10: Glitter Grunge Fest w/ Dossey
Austin’s iconic Hole in the Wall will host a grunge fest on Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28 with headliner Dossey, an Austin electro-pop artist. The fest will feature other Austin-based artists: Night Glitter, The Cuckoos, Flight by Nothing, Paxton Smith, Booher, Elijah Delgado, KVN and Tombus.
From $26: Meet Me @ The Altar: Say it to My Face Tour
Pop-punk band Meet Me @ The Altar, who opened for MUNA and 5 Seconds of Summer, will bring their casually cool energy to Antone’s on Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. With a strong stage presence and fierce attitude, audiences should expect MMATA to put on a lively show.
From $27.50: Ricky Montgomery – The Rick Tour: Another Rick in the Wall
After releasing the self-titled album Rick in September, the “Line Without a Hook” singer will cast his line into Emo’s Austin on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Montgomery will perform viral hits such as “Mr. Loverman” and songs from Rick. From heartfelt ballads to upbeat tunes, Montgomery’s performance will thrill all music lovers.
From $32.50: Cold War Kids: 20 Years Tour
To celebrate their 20th anniversary, Cold War Kids embarked on a North American tour with Hovvdy, an indie-pop duo from Austin. The tour will hit Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. Featuring hits like “First” and “Hang Me Up to Dry,” the show will please fans and casual listeners alike.
From $34.50: Ryan Beatty
After the release of his 2023 album Calico, Ryan Beatty set off on a North American tour. The “Haircut” singer will stop by Austin’s historic Scoot Inn on Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m., playing viral hit songs from his new album and even an unreleased song.
From $245: Eagles: The Long Goodbye
After a 53-year run, the Eagles will land at the Moody Center on Feb. 2 and Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. as part of their farewell tour. They will play fan favorites and all-time hits like “Take it Easy.” While the band announced “The Long Goodbye” marks their final tour, they plan to continue the tour well into 2025.
From $265: Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS World Tour
Olivia Rodrigo will take one step forward and three steps back into the Moody Center on Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m. with special guest Chappell Roan. While tickets sold out on Ticketmaster, resale sites like SeatGeek start at $265. The show, full of relatable punch-filled anthems, guarantees a cathartic experience for fans.
