People celebrated at the all-day Central Texas Juneteenth Parade and Festival event near Rosewood Park in Austin on Saturday. Juneteenth commemorates the abolition of slavery and the anniversary of the executive decree of freedom on June 19, 1865 in Galveston Bay, Texas.
