The annual Texas Fight Rally returns this evening ahead of the 120th rendition of the Red River Rivalry game against the No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday.
Held every year before the historic matchup, the event will begin with a parade held on Guadalupe Street at 6:30 p.m. between the intersections of 21st and 25th streets. Audience members can follow the music of the Longhorn Band to the UT Tower to give the football team a Texas-sized send-off at 7 p.m.
Various student organizations will be featured in the parade, sporting the coordinating “Boots and Bevo” theme and competing for the best spirit banner and “Beat OU” t-shirt design, with the winners being announced at the rally.
