Banks also received his first Outland Trophy’s National Player of the Week award. He was mentioned in both the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award preseason’s watch list.
Hill brought home his first SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week award for his 11 tackles (seven solo), 3.5 TFL, two sacks and one forced fumble in the Red River game. The 11 tackles matched his career-high and the forced fumble was the second of his career.
While also making Saturday’s game his fourth straight with a sack, Hill was also named to his first Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week award.
