9:09 p.m.: Kirk Watson is set to serve a fourth term as Austin Mayor, narrowly avoiding a runoff with 50% of all votes.

10:39 a.m.: President Joe Biden called and congratulated President-elect Donald Trump, Biden said in an address to the nation. Biden said he told his administration to ensure a peaceful transfer of power.
Nov. 6
1:44 p.m.: Vice President Kamala Harris has called President-elect Donald Trump to concede the race, according to the Trump campaign. Harris will speak at Howard University later today. President Biden is also expected to speak to Trump and the nation later today.
1:08 p.m.: With 100% of precincts reporting, incumbent Austin mayor Kirk Watson is poised to avoid a runoff and win his reelection campaign with 50.01% of the vote. Watson avoids a run off by a margin of 31 votes, according to KVUE.
1:08 a.m.: With 93% of votes counted, Decision Desk projects Trump will win Pennsylvania. Trump currently has 51% of votes counted. The win puts Trump at 270 electoral votes, making him the president-elect.

9:58 p.m.: With 41% of votes counted, Decision Desk projects that Trump will win Iowa. Trump currently has 54.9% of votes counted.
9:28 p.m.: With 88% of votes counted, Decision Desk projects that Trump will win Georgia. Trump currently has 51.2% of votes counted.
9:25 p.m.: With 72% of votes counted, Decision Desk projects that incumbent U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz will win his reelection campaign. Cruz currently has 53.6% of the vote.
8:31 p.m.: With 54% of votes counted, Decision Desk projects that Trump will win North Carolina. He currently has 51.1% of votes counted.
8:02 p.m.: With 58% of votes counted, Decision Desk projects that Trump will win Texas. He currently has 53.4% of votes counted. The Senate race is currently too close to call.
7:37 p.m.: With 92% of votes counted, Williamson County has Trump leading against Harris 50% to 48.7%, and Rep. Colin Allred leading against Sen. Ted Cruz 49.7% to 48.1% in the Senate race, according to the Associated Press.
7:31 p.m.: With 75% votes counted, Hays County has Vice President Kamala Harris leading against former President Donald Trump 52.6% to 46.2%, according to the Associated Press.
7:25 p.m.: Lloyd Doggett, the incumbent U.S. representative for Texas House District 37, won his reelection campaign, according to the Associated Press, with 77% of votes counted.
7:00 p.m.: The polls are closed in Texas. People currently in line can still cast their votes. The wait time at the Texas Union is approximately 21-50 minutes.
Voters will decide the next president of the United States Tuesday. The election also includes races for the mayor of the city of Austin, a U.S. Senate seat from Texas and U.S. House of Representatives.
The Daily Texan will use Decision Desk and the Associated Press to report results, both outlets known for their accuracy, quickness and nonpartisanship. The Texan will update when Texas and key swing states are called with results for the presidency, as well as key counties across the state including Travis, Harris, Dallas and Tarrant.
As of Oct. 18, the Texas Politics Project poll showed a Trump lead 51% to 46% among likely Texas voters.
In Texas’ U.S. Senate race, incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz leads Rep. Colin Allred by seven points among likely Texas voters, according to the Texas Politics Project. Allred has a seven-point lead among voters under 30.
