Inclement weather in the Central Texas region over the past couple of days has forced the Round Rock Express and Sugar Land Space Cowboys to reschedule games on back-to-back days.
The postponed games, originally scheduled for July 5–6, will be made up as doubleheaders when the two teams face off again in Round Rock during the week of Sept. 8, the second-to-last series of the regular season.
Ticket holders for both games will receive an email with instructions on how to exchange their game tickets and parking.
Holders of the July 5 game will be able to exchange their tickets for any other game, and the oversized cap giveaway scheduled for that day will now take place when the Express faces the El Paso Chihuahuas on Aug. 1.
Holders of the July 6 game will be able to exchange their tickets for any Sunday-Thursday game for the remainder of the season.
If tickets are exchanged, the new tickets and parking information will be emailed after the Express verifies the purchase.
The Express took the opening game of the series in Sugar Land 6-2 but has struggled in the past three matchups, notably surrendering a 6-0 lead to fall to the Space Cowboys in extra innings 7-6 Thursday evening.
Third baseman Josh Jung, 2023 American League All-Star and World Series champion with the Texas Rangers, was set to make his first start for the Express this weekend. After struggling at the plate this season, Jung was optioned to the Rangers’ Triple-A squad.
Round Rock is set to face the Colorado Rockies’ Triple-A affiliate, the Albuquerque Isotopes, next week at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas.
