An accident between two motor vehicles Tuesday congested traffic on Guadalupe Street when it occurred directly across from the University Co-op.
The driver of a blue sedan collided with a tan sedan at about 1:30 p.m. The impact caused the cars airbags to deploy in the tan sedan. The driver of the blue car, who was not injured, dialed 911.
Police, fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene. EMS transported the driver of the tan sedan to Brackenridge Hospital. The accident was one of three car accidents that occurred Tuesday afternoon on Guadalupe, according to Austin Police Department. The other two were at 31st and 34th streets. Guadalupe also experienced from construction work between 24th and 26th streets.
