Today at 11:30 a.m. at the UT School of Law (TNH 3.127), Ramzi Kassem will host a discussion about the place of torture in American policy and the film “Zero Dark Thirty.” Kassem is a professor at the City University of New York law school.
A panel of Texas legislators will discuss the future of fracking laws on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Belo Center for New Media’s second floor auditorium, BMC 2.106. The discussion will be moderated by Mose Buchele of KUT. Doors open at 6 p.m.
The Texas Student Media board will hold its monthly meeting Friday at 1 p.m. in FAC 328. The TSM board oversees several student-run media properties, including The Daily Texan. The meeting, which will be open to the public, will feature proposals related to the TSM budget that which may have consequences for this newspaper. We encourage students, staff, faculty and Austin residents to attend.
