The SXSWedu Policy Forum takes place Monday and Tuesday at the Hilton Austin Downtown. Speakers include Texas House and Senate Higher Education Committee chairs Dan Branch, R-Dallas, and Kel Seliger, R-Amarillo. On Wednesday, a free informational session about joining the Peace Corps will be held at Starbucks on 504 W. 24th at 5:30 p.m. “If you have two years to spare for one of the most rewarding experiences of your life, come out and learn what the Peace Corps can do for you and what you can do for humanity.”
The Cactus Cafe’s monthly open mic night will be held Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Sign up at 7 p.m. to take your turn.
