Tonight, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will speak at the LBJ School of Public Affairs about “leadership in a changing world.” Tickets for faculty and students are available at the Student Activity Center ticket office and for LBJ School students at the LBJ School Dean’s Office front desk. The event will take place in the Lady Bird Johnson Auditorium at the LBJ School at 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, a roundtable discussion will examine the impact of the late Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez’s administration. Speakers include UT graduate students and professors who specialize in the subject. The discussion is sponsored by the government department and the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies.
On Thursday, fiction writer T. C. Boyle will read from his work and answer questions from the audience. Boyle has written over 20 fiction titles and recently deposited his archives at the Harry Ransom Center. He will speak from 7:30-9 p.m. in the Avaya Auditorium, ACE 2.302.
