Under the Chandelier feat. The Robert Kraft Trio
- Where: Spider House, 2908 Fruth St.
- Time: 7 p.m.–10 p.m.
All ages are invited to the Spider House patio for a free show from the Austin-based band The Robert Kraft Trio. The group plays pop songs, originals, ’70s pop, soul and honky-tonk.

Wednesday, Sept. 9
Nerd Nite
- Where: The North Door, 501 Brushy St.
- Time: Doors at 7:30 p.m., presentations at 8 p.m.
Nerd Nite is a worldwide event during which people give 20-minute presentations about their topic of interest, while the audience listens and drinks. The topics of this month’s presentations include: tales from a research ship in Antarctica, the history of printmaker Charles Meryon and electronic fortune tellers. To add to the event’s novelty, single nerds have the option of purchasing tickets for the Nerd Nite Speed-Dating event held before the show.

Thursday, Sept. 10
Brad Paisley’s Country Nation College Tour with Pat Green
- Where: UFCU Disch-Falk Field, 1300 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
- Time: gates 6:30 p.m., show 7:30 p.m.
Country star Brad Paisley is making a stop at UT on Thursday for his tour of college campuses. Texas-country artist Pat Green will perform before Paisley at the free show, open to the first 8,400 people who claim a ticket online. The show, which will take place along the perimeter of the UT baseball field, will have limited parking.

Friday, Sept. 11
Free Art Fridays
- Where: Throughout the city
- Time: 12 p.m.
Every Friday, local artists hide their original work around the city for Austinites to find using clues from the Instagram hashtag #atxfreeartfriday. Art collective Spratx, who created the event, asks that anyone who finds a piece of art “claim” it by either emailing them or tagging them and the artist in an Instagram post.

Saturday, Sept. 12
Post-Apocalyptic Costume Party
- Where: Craftsman, 2000 E. Cesar Chavez St.
- Time: 9 p.m.
Put on your finest zombie attire and head down to the Craftsman for a Post-Apocalyptic Costume Party Saturday night. To compliment the audience’s costumes, zombie-brass group The Dead Music Capital Band will play at 10 p.m., and DJ KidSlyce will take the stage at 11 p.m.

Chill Beats & Brunch

On the second Sunday of each month, the South Lamar Social Club hosts a mid-afternoon DJ event, Chill Beats & Brunch. The event features primarily downtempo, future jazz, trip-hop, lounge, chillout, balearic, and ambient music. This month’s special guest is TBA.
