The Longhorns continue their fall schedule with a home game against Temple College Thursday.
Texas looks to continue its strong start after beating Howard 9-0 and 6-2 in a double-header last week.
The Leopards had a phenomenal 2015 campaign, going 51-12 before getting bounced in the tournament by Chattanooga State.
Sophomore pitcher Lexi Smith leads the way for Temple. The underclassman was the ace of the team last season with a 22-8 record and 0.91 ERA over 184.1 innings pitched in her freshman year.
The Longhorns lineup should look similar to the one that took the diamond against Howard. Head coach Connie Clark used each of her pitchers for around two innings and had two separate lineups of hitters ready to go.
First pitch is 6:30 p.m. at Red & Charline McCombs Field. Admission and parking are free.
