Oklahoma State, Wickline settle lawsuit

Oklahoma State settled a lawsuit with former Texas offensive line coach Joe Wickline, the Associated Press reported Tuesday afternoon.

The school had previously filed a suit against Wickline, who was the offensive line coach at Oklahoma State from 2005-2013, for a breach of contract. Oklahoma State contended that he did not have play-calling duties at Texas, which his contract required and sought out $600,000 in damages.

Wickline was dismissed by head coach Charlie Strong earlier this month after hiring Sterlin Gilbert and Matt Mattox in an offensive overhaul.

The settlement keeps Strong from testifying in court about who was calling plays.

The terms of the settlement were not released, according to the AP.
