A bullet casing was found inside a campus building Friday on top of a board holding a Gun Free UT sign which had been written on.
Casey Boyle, rhetoric and writing professor, posted on Twitter Friday pictures of the bullet and the sign found in a hallway of Parlin.
Not sure how to read this shell casing & note someone left on a bulletin board in my building here on campus. pic.twitter.com/0OxntQZw0t

There was a note in the bullet that said “triggered.”
The Gun Free UT sign was marked with the words “In the land of the pigs, the butcher is king.”
Boyle said the bullet and sign were not near a faculty member’s office.
According to Cindy Posey, associate director of communications for University operations, UTPD has been made aware of the situation and are currently investigating.
UPDATE: The casing was placed on a board with this sign. So, I have a better idea how to read it now. pic.twitter.com/HOOY2aFgPg
