Longhorn Network’s production abilities decrease as it nears end

Editor’s note: This story has been removed because The Daily Texan misreported on the current state of the Longhorn Network, due to a misjudgment of choice in sourcing. On Oct. 30, The Texan reached out to several employees of LHN to request interviews on the state of LHN and was ultimately directed to speak to ESPN’s PR. On Nov. 2, ESPN’s PR provided The Texan with this statement: “Longhorn Network will wind down in the summer of 2024 when Texas moves to the SEC. This includes the end of the lease for our Austin office and studio. LHN content such as live events and studio coverage will fold into SEC Network programming.” This statement was not originally included in our reporting. The Daily Texan regrets this error.
